Recognizing Burnout Before It Hits Hard
Burnout rarely appears overnight. These are the early signs worth paying attention to.
Burnout tends to build gradually — a slow shift from feeling tired to feeling depleted, detached, or cynical about work or responsibilities that used to feel manageable.
Early warning signs include dreading tasks you used to handle fine, feeling emotionally numb rather than just busy, and noticing your patience running thinner than usual with people around you.
Catching it early matters. Rest alone often isn't enough once burnout is advanced — but noticing the early signs and adjusting workload, boundaries, or support can prevent it from progressing further.
